In-Person Reiki Healing
Any amount of Reiki can be beneficial, and each session can be tailored to meet individual needs. Before the session begins the client and practitioner will talk briefly about any physical or emotional concerns. The intention of Reiki is always to channel light and wellness.
What to expect: Clients lie (fully clothed) on a massage table. The Reiki Practitioner moves around them using different hand positions to move the energy. The hand positions can be slightly above the body, or placed directly on the body using a light touch, depending on the client's preference. Each hand position is typically held between 2-5 minutes.
All the client needs to do is relax and breathe (falling asleep is fine too!). During a session people may experience emotions rising to the surface or various physical sensations (tingling, heat), all are normal and demonstrate that Reiki is working to release and balance your universal life energy.

Distance Reiki Healing
Distance Reiki can be just as powerful and effective as an in-person session. A date and time is selected for the practitioner to do the session from a distance while the client meditates at home. A phone conversation concludes the session.
Many of the same experiences that a client feels during an in-person session can also be felt during a distance Reiki session. The Practitioner isn't in the same room, but is tuning into your energy and doing the same hand positions from afar.
